Striving to Share, Develop, and Understand Together

There and Back Again CIC's Learning Opportunities are developed with Our Voices. Accessing our Learning  Opportunities, which are designed with Our Voices is extremely important and supports the understanding reached by the Welsh Government through the Anti Racist Wales Action Plan. Our Experts by Experience are complimented by Rhiannon's personal and professional understanding to provide attendees with a unique learning experience. There and Back Again CIC understands the importance of those delivering our Learning Opportunities to have good well developed relationships with each other, which adds to you receiving a positive, enriching and enjoyable time with us. Our Learning Experiences are all delivered in person, as what we share is important and only works if we are all together. Our Voices, are also not comfortable with delivering online. We request you support their journeys, helping them grow in confidence and having the opportunity to come and meet you and keep developing in their skills at delivering our work. We need to come together for us all to benefit.

Our Learning Opportunities have been refined over a number of years with encouraging feedback from attendees. We aim to share with you valuable insight which improves professional understanding and practice, which in turn benefits our families by bringing about change. It is important that what we share  is honest and practical. We allow you to share your experiences of working with our families, and we are able to discuss anything which you feel is helpful to your professional practice. Together we will explore everyone's experiences and come together to give you the confidence to speak out for our families.

We actively review our Learning Opportunities to ensure they are up to date, and always evolving with any new developments. We will discuss your needs with you beforehand and ensure we meet your expectations.

Learning Opportunities Testimonials:

"There and Back Again's 'learning opportunity' encapsulated everything it needed to and more. It was human, impactful and an open space to ask questions. The focus on embedding lived experiences really shone through the format, and attendees left feeling more confident on the social, economic and political issues Gypsy, Traveller and Roma families face.

What made the biggest difference was having the opportunity facilitated by both a professional, Rhiannon, and an Irish Traveller woman, Ann, who never batted an eyelid at some challenging issues raised. I would highly recommend this learning opportunity to anyone and everyone who wants to learn how to genuinely understand and tackle the vast inequalities Gypsy, Roma and Travellers face to date. It was the most impactful formal session I have attended in my career to date and other facilitators should take note in the sector" - Olivia Browne, Policy and Engagement Officer.

"I didn't expect to enjoy the session so much, it was so different to standard 'training' and I learnt so much more" - Caitlin Brown, Events and Communications Coordinator
